Welcome to Cypress
An unincorporated suburb of Houston, Cypress is one of the highest-income urban areas in the country. Despite its small size, the area has a diverse landscape that ranges from dense forests to open ranch and prairie lands—all of which enjoy the warmer climates that permeate Texas.
Some historians have found evidence of human presence as early as 7,500 B.C., which was later populated by the Atakapa and Akokisa native tribes, who settled there until the arrival of German immigrants around the 1840s. Since then, Cypress has flowered into an elegant and thriving suburb filled with affluence and anchored by community.
The focus in Cypress is its residential neighborhoods, which are masterfully-planned and cultivated to ensure that residents have the best amenities and public services, as well as a peaceful environment in which to raise their families. The majority of residences are single-family homes, and with the easy access to Houston’s vibrant center as well as its impressive public school system, it isn’t hard to see why families choose to settle here.
